Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School
The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School commissioned Lime to manufacture and install a new media suite.
The project included twenty-eight specialist student desks and two teacher’s desks, built and designed to incorporate Dell computers and monitors. All computers were fitted underneath the worktops and secured in adjustable cradles. The TFT monitors were fitted to 50mm management poles with vesa mount brackets.
The design also incorporated an inserted USB 2 device within the worktop and brackets were designed and fitted to the up-stand/back-panel to allow the keyboard and mouse to be free from the desks when the lessons do not require computers.
Cable containment was within two-compartment trunking and this is fitted to the underneath of the worktops and around the perimeter of the room. Each individual desk unit has its own double power socket and double Cat.5e network outlet. The power supply was taken from the nearest distribution board and terminated locally to a new six-way consumer unit. All data cabling terminated within a new 9U cabinet with the appropriate hardware to service the room.
The project also included the installation of an interactive Smart board and overhead projector. Bluetooth was used for connection from each of the teacher’s desks.

Client testimonial
“We had looked at a number of companies for this particular project and found Lime projects to be the most suitable. They helped us design the right desks to fit the room space and manufactured the desks to a specific requirement. The team Lime assigned to this project had experience in all aspects of the installation and provided the on site desk build, data and power cabling, computer and AV installation. The team were very professional throughout the entire project and worked outside normal hours to complete the installation on time. We are looking at additional new purpose build suits around the school over the next couple of years and will be asking Lime to work with us to develop these.”
